India's main stock index hit a record high on Friday, led by gains in Reliance Industries Ltd and ICICI Bank Ltd.
At 10:35 a.m., the 30-share BSE index was up 0.93 percent or 189.39 points at 20,534.59. The previous peak of 20,529.48 was hit on Wednesday.
The 50-issue NSE index was up 1.14 percent at 6,249.05, having earlier hit a life high of 6,250.55. Its previous high of 6,230.15 points was set Thursday.
